Volatile anesthetic agents such as halothane,isoflurane,sevoflurane have demon- strated to attenuate [Ca~(2+)] i and inhibit activation of PKC,Rho kinase and p44/42 MAPK of VSM. Volatile anesthetics also depress release of EDRFs and open K_(ATP)channel.
