Vanadium complexes with catecholate or pyrazine 2-carboxylate ligands were prepared and characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, 1H nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy, and elemental analysis.
