Polynuclear complexes containing N and S atoms [M (Fc-C(CH3)= NN = CSSR)2,R=-CH3, -CH2C6H5, M = Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Zn2+, Cd2+] were synthesized. It was found that the coordination compounds could quench *Ru(bpy)32+ with high efficiency.
